Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Startline. Using the product means you agree to them.

Who can use Startline

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or submit a player's information. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
• If the player is under 18, a parent or guardian must set up and supervise the account, and agrees to these terms on the player's behalf.
• We ask for a graduation year during setup. A class that would put the player under 13 cannot be selected, and we may close an account if we learn the age given was not accurate.

What the service is — and isn't

Startline is software that helps you run a recruiting process: it scores where a player fits, provides roster and program analytics, and helps you organize coach outreach.

• We provide a list and a process. We do not place players and we do not guarantee tryouts, offers, roster spots, scholarships, or any recruiting outcome.
• Fit Scores and analytics are informational estimates from available data, not promises. Recruiting decisions are made by coaches, players, and families — not by us.

Your account

• Provide accurate information and keep your login secure.
• Younger players should use the product with a parent or guardian.
• Use the product for your own recruiting; don't scrape, resell, or misuse the data.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

• There is a free plan and a paid Startline Pro plan (monthly or annual), billed through Stripe.
• You can cancel anytime; you keep access through the period you already paid for, and you won't be billed again.
• Prices shown in the app at the time of purchase govern.

Acceptable use

Don't use Startline to harass coaches or clubs, send spam, or misrepresent a player. Outreach tools are for genuine, personalized contact.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is.” To the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for recruiting outcomes or for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the product.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll update the date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app.
